🇦🇷 Stripe was not born in San Francisco. It was born in Buenos Aires. In 2009, Patrick and John Collison flew to Argentina. Not for vacation. But to focus. They spent one month in a cheap apartment, working from cafés with solid Wi-Fi and no distractions. No tourist activities. Just code, coffee, and full days of shipping. When they flew back to the US, Stripe was alive. A few days later, they had real users. People often forget this part. Sometimes, the best way to build is to leave. Leave the routine. Leave the noise. Find a place that lets you breathe. At The Mobile-First Company, we believe in that too. Every three months, our entire team flies somewhere new. We call them Retreats. We lock ourselves in a house for 14 days to build faster and take bolder decisions. And since a few months, we even have an office in Buenos Aires.
